Saiga pop song adopted as anthem

We’re so happy that a song, which was originally written and performed by a famous Karakalpak musician and singer Koblan Ezenbaev, has been adopted by children in our Steppe Wildlife Clubs as their ‘anthem’!

The song is about the saiga and its steppe habitat and urges people to help save the critically endangered species.

Joe Bull saiga friend re-recorded an English version of the song, and we joined forces with local school children Tashkent, Uzbekistan, who play a starring role in the video.

Our thanks go to Houston Zoo and WCN for their kind support of this project.
