The festival relay race, devoted to Saiga Day 2022, was picked up in the villages located near the Saigachi Reserve. The village of Jaslyk on the basis of school No. 54 hospitably received teams of young ecologists from neighboring villages – from school No. 31 in the village of Kyrk-Kyz and school No. 52 from the village of Yelabad. These are new Steppe clubs that have organically joined our friendly team of saiga friends.
Many spectators gathered to support the participants of the Festival, including schoolchildren, teachers, village residents. In order for everyone to be able to watch the performance and competition of the teams, several competitive venues were organized.
Such engagement and high activity of the participants at the Ecological Festival became possible thanks to the support of ecologists from Uz-Kor Gas Chemical LLC and, of course, the Saiga Conservation Alliance. The methodological basis of the holiday was developed and proposed to the mentors of the Steppe clubs by experts from the NGO “Ekomaktab”. Teachers-innovators, enthusiasts decorated the script with their creative finds and the holiday turned out to be unusually fun and exciting. A team of employees from the Saigachi Reserve arrived at the Festival and prepared their competition program.
Of course, adult mentors, educators, teachers understand that through all the events of the Saiga Day, there is an increase in the awareness of children, youth and the adult population of the villages, as well as the education of environmental culture, love and respect for the environment and such prominent representatives as saigas.
“Saigas are a bridge between the past and the future” – what does this topic mean and what is it about?
Saiga antelopes have played an important role in the well-being of the environment and all its inhabitants in the past. Saiga antelopes still play a very important role in the well-being of the steppes today and are a very important component of the entire steppe ecosystem, and therefore in the well-being of people living in the steppe zones. By preserving the saiga and doing everything to bring it back to the steppes, we create a favorable existence and a prosperous life for us and our children and grandchildren. Perhaps that is why it is very important how the younger generation relates to the topic “Protection and Conservation of Saiga”. We asked the participant of the Festival, a student of grade 7B of school No. 54 in the village of Jaslyk, to share her impressions of how the holiday is going. Here is Zhanerke Muratbayeva’s opinion: “Personally, Saiga Day is a special event for me. Every year since elementary grades, I try to actively participate in this event. Specifically for elementary grades, competitions of drawings, poems, development of eco-books, stories about the saiga and sports competitions were held. This year I was given the opportunity to participate in a big festival dedicated to Saiga Day. The festival left bright and unforgettable impressions for life. Every year all the children look forward to Saiga Day and participate in it with great desire. Many thanks to all the people who instill in us a love for nature, that we need to protect and protect all natural resources. We will value and protect our unique nature, especially saigas.”
The program of the Festival included as well competitions of “Eco-scholars”, “Artists”. Another station was called “The situation in the Reserve”. Here, the teams were asked questions by the staff of the Saigachi Reserve. Guys had to determine based on the photographs which animal the tracks belong to or which animal was caught by a camera trap. The teams were also presented with situations from real life in the Reserve. For example, you came across a newborn baby saiga in the steppe, what should you do?
The competition “Sport-quest” caused a lot of emotions. It encouraged participants to show dexterity and resourcefulness. Participants faced “dangers” in the form of an ambush with a saber-toothed tiger, crossing a “turbulent river” or going through a tunnel. The movement of the team symbolically repeated the movement of the herd of saigas.
And the program was completed by the Theater Stage Festival. Teams dressed in the costumes of saigas, mammoths, ancient people, “modern” poachers, smugglers and rangers played different situations in front of the audience, ending with slogans about protecting the environment and saigas. At the end of the Festival, the Saigas anthem sounded very solemnly. The awards ceremony added bright and memorable emotions to the celebration.

The next day, the school Eco-Festival started in the village of Karakalpakstan. This is the farthest village located in close proximity to the protected areas. In honor of the Saiga Day in the village of Karakalpakstan, running and cycling marathon was held among the students of school No. 26. Active fans – residents of the village gladly supported and took part in this event. Three teams took part in the Eco-festival on the theme “Saiga – a bridge between the past and the future”. Guys created eco-posters, competed in the knowledge of the surrounding nature. And the participants of the Sports Quest had to go through a certain route with obstacles and get into the “Reserve”. The performance of the school eco-theater was especially spectacular. Small miniatures about saiga and its difficult life caused a lot of emotions and discussions. The festival did not leave anyone indifferent. And saigas have become much “closer” and more understandable.

День сайгака в Узбекистане, пос. Жаслык. Молодёжный фестиваль «Сайгаки- мост между прошлым и будущим» набирает обороты
Фестивальную эстафету, приуроченную ко Дню Сайгака-2022, подхватили в посёлках, расположенных поблизости с Комплексным заказником «Сайгачий». Посёлок Жаслык на базе школы №54 гостеприимно принимал команды юных экологов из соседних посёлков- из школы №31 посёлок Кырк-Кыз и школы №52 из посёлка Елабад. Это новые Степные клубы, которые органично влились в наш дружный коллектив друзей сайгака.
Поддержать участников Фестиваля собралось много зрителей, среди которых были школьники, учителя, жители посёлка. Для того, чтобы все желающие смогли посмотреть выступление и состязания команд, было организовано несколько конкурсных площадок.
Такая вовлеченность и высокая активность участников на экологическом Фестивале стала возможно благодаря поддержке экологов из СП ООО «Uz-Kor Gas Chemical» и конечно Альянса по сохранению Сайгака. Методическую основу праздника разработали и предложили наставникам Степных клубов эксперты из ННО «Ekomaktab». Учителя-новаторы, энтузиасты украсили сценарий своими креативными находками и праздник получился необыкновенно весёлым и увлекательным. На Фестиваль прибыла команда сотрудников из Комплексного ландшафтного заказника «Сайгачий», которая подготовила свою конкурсную программу.
Конечно, взрослые наставники, педагоги, учителя понимают, что через все мероприятия Дня сайгака происходит повышение информированности детей, молодёжи и взрослого населения посёлков, а так же воспитание экологической культуры, любви и бережного отношения к окружающей природы и таким ярким представителям как сайгаки.
«Сайгаки – мост между прошлым и будущим» – что означает данная тема и о чём она?
Сайгаки в прошлом играли важное значение в благополучии окружающей среды и всех её обитателей. Сайгаки и сегодня играют очень важное значение в благополучии степей и являются очень важной составляющей всей степной Экосистемы, а значит и в благополучии людей, проживающих в степных зонах. Сохраняя сайгака и делая всё, для его возвращения в степи, мы создаём благоприятное существование и благополучную жизнь нам и нашим детям, внукам. Наверное, поэтому очень важно, как относится подрастающее поколение к теме «Защиты и сохранения сайгаков». Мы попросили поделиться впечатлением о том, как проходит праздник участницу Фестиваля, ученицу 7В класса школы №54 посёлка Жаслык. Вот какое мнение озвучила Жанерке Муратбаева: «Лично для меня День Сайгака особенное событие. Каждый год с начальными классами я стараюсь активно участвовать в этом мероприятии. Специально для начальных классов проводились конкурсы рисунков, стихов, разработка эко книжек, рассказы про Сайгака и спортивные соревнования. В этом году мне предоставили возможность поучаствовать в большом фестивале, посвящённом Дню Сайгака». От фестиваля остались яркие и незабываемые впечатления на всю жизнь. Все ребята каждый год с нетерпением ждут «День Сайгака», с большим желанием участвуют в нем. Огромное спасибо всем людям, которые воспитывает в нас любовь к природе, что нужно оберегать и беречь все природные ресурсы. Мы будем ценить и оберегать нашу неповторимую природу, особенно сайгаков».
Программа Фестиваля включала состязания «Эко-эрудитов», «Художников». Ещё одна станция называлась «Ситуация в заповеднике». Здесь вопросы командам задавали сотрудники ОПТ «Сайгачий». Ребята должны были определить по фотографиям, какому животному принадлежат следы или что за животное попало в объектив фото-ловушки. А так же командам были представлены ситуации из реальной жизни в заповеднике. Например, Вы в степи встретили новорождённого сайгачонка, как нужно поступить?
Очень много эмоций вызвал конкурс «Спорт-КВЕСТ». Здесь нужно было проявить ловкость и находчивость. Участников поджидали «опасности» в виде засады с саблезубым тигром, переправы через «бурную реку» или проход через тоннель. Движение команды символично повторяло движение стада сайгаков.
А завершал программу Фестиваль «Театральная площадка». Команды в подготовленных заранее костюмах сайгаков, мамонтов, древних людей, «современных» браконьеров, контрабандистов и сотрудников экологической инспекции, показали разные ситуации перед зрителями, закончив лозунгами о защите окружающей природы и сайгаков. Очень торжественно в завершении Фестиваля зазвучал гимн Сайгаку. Церемония награждения участников добавила празднику ярких и памятных эмоций.
На следующий день школьный Эко-Фестиваль стартовал в посёлке Каракалпакстан. Это самый дальний посёлок находится в непосредственной близи с заповедной территорий. В честь Дня Сайгака в посёлке Каракалпакстан прошел марафон среди учеников школы № 26 и веломарафон среди учениц школы № 26. Активные болельщики – жители посёлка с удовольствием поддержали и приняли участие в этом мероприятии. В Эко-фестивале на тему «Сайгак – мост между прошлым и будущим» приняли участие 3 команды. Ребята создавали эко-плакаты, состязались в знаниях окружающей природы. А участники Спорт-Квеста должны были пройти определённый маршрут с препятствиями и попасть в «заповедник». Особенно зрелищно было выступление школьного эко-театра. Небольшие миниатюры про сайгака и его не простую жизнь вызывали много эмоций и обсуждений. Фестиваль не оставил никого равнодушным. А сайгаки стали гораздо «ближе» и понятнее.
