The Excellence in Saiga Protection Award recognises people whose commitment to protecting saigas makes a difference in the field. Established in 2014, it celebrates the often-unseen work of individuals and teams who dedicate themselves to the species’ conservation.
By recognising their achievements, SCA aims to give their work greater visibility and encourage those who continue to protect saigas, often in challenging conditions.

- Nominees may be based in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, or Uzbekistan, or in a saiga consumer country, including China, Singapore, Vietnam, and Malaysia. SCA is currently unable to award individuals or teams based in the Russian Federation.
