Buddhism, Culture and Saiga Conservation - A. Adgishev

Elvg Adgishev worked with the cultural and spiritual significance of the saiga to encourage environmental awareness and respect for native wildlife in Kalmykia. The project engaged respected Buddhist temples through lectures, exhibitions and other public activities centred on saigas and the natural environment.

Through a set of conservation messages delivered through culturally important community institutions, the work helped to connect saiga conservation with local values and traditions.
