Characterising Saiga Wildlife Supply Chains - R. Arnold

Student Research Project International Cooperation & Policy · Research & Monitoring International 2024 ← Back to archive

Ruth Arnold investigated how novel research approaches could be used to better characterise wildlife supply chains, using the saiga antelope as a case study. The project examined how information can be gathered and combined to build a clearer picture of the routes, actors, and processes involved in the movement of saiga products.

The research strengthens understanding of how saiga products move through complex trade systems and demonstrates methods that can support future work on wildlife supply chains. This kind of evidence can help conservationists identify where further research, monitoring, or intervention may be most useful.
