Project
Conservation of the Volga-Ural Saiga Population - A. Ispusinov
Asytek Abukhayeovich Ispusinov worked through the Society of Hunters and Fishermen of the Atyrau Region to conserve a small group of Volga-Ural saigas using an unfenced hunting area in Kazakhstan. The project focused attention on a vulnerable group of animals outside a conventional fenced or fully protected setting.
The project brought additional local protection and conservation attention to a small saiga group in the Atyrau region, strengthening the focus on animals using an unfenced hunting landscape.
