Evaluating SCA’s Conservation Impact in Uzbekistan - K. Simkin

Student Research Project Research & Monitoring Uzbekistan 2016 ← Back to archive

Kirsty Simkin used the Saiga Conservation Alliance's work in Uzbekistan as a case study to explore the use of a Theory of Change approach for conservation impact evaluation. The research examined how conservation activities, intended changes, and longer-term goals could be linked in a structured framework.

The project provided a way to reflect systematically on SCA's work in Uzbekistan and on how conservation organisations can assess whether their activities are contributing to the changes they intend to support. It also added practical experience in applying Theory of Change thinking to a real conservation programme.
