Project
Mongolian Saiga Population and Spatial Distribution - B. Bayarbaatar
Buuveibaatar Bayarbaatar carried out research to estimate the Mongolian saiga population and examine how environmental and human factors influenced its spatial distribution in western Mongolia. The project combined population assessment with analysis of the pressures shaping where saigas were found.
The work generated an updated evidence base on saiga numbers and distribution and a clearer understanding of factors associated with their use of the landscape.
