Saiga Distribution in West Kazakhstan - H. Chilton
Henrietta Chilton investigated the distribution of saigas in West Kazakhstan and the factors associated with where they occurred. The research combined information on saiga locations with environmental and landscape variables to explore the patterns shaping their use of the region.
The study added evidence on where saigas were found and why particular areas may have been important to them. This strengthened understanding of the Ural population's spatial ecology and provided information relevant to monitoring, habitat management, and conservation planning.
