Rangers of Stepnoi Reserve were recognised through the Excellence in Saiga Protection programme for their frontline work protecting saigas in Stepnoi Reserve in Russia. The team operates in a demanding steppe environment where regular patrols, monitoring, and rapid response are central to protecting the animals using the sanctuary.
