Socially Significant Areas in Saiga Habitat - K. Karenina
Karina Karenina studied socially significant areas within saiga habitat in the north-western Caspian region of Russia. The project examined how places important to people intersect with the landscape used by saigas, adding a social dimension to understanding habitat and conservation needs.
The research generated evidence that could help conservationists consider human use and social importance alongside ecological information when thinking about saiga habitat and shared landscapes.
