Understanding Illegal Behaviour Affecting Ustyurt Saigas - L. Kor
Laura Kor investigated the drivers of illegal behaviour affecting the Uzbek Ustyurt saiga population using the Theory of Planned Behaviour. The study explored the attitudes, social influences, and perceived constraints that can shape decisions linked to illegal hunting and other behaviours affecting saigas.
The research provided a stronger social evidence base for understanding why illegal behaviour occurs and how conservation responses might be better targeted. By examining motivations rather than only documenting offences, the study helped connect behavioural research with practical saiga conservation.
