Alexander Grachev carried out research on the population structure and reproduction of the Ural saiga population in Kazakhstan. By examining demographic and reproductive characteristics, the project sought to improve understanding of how the population was functioning and the factors relevant to its recovery.

The research added biological information that could strengthen interpretation of population trends and support future monitoring.
